We saw Holy Fuck last Thursday at the Phoenix. I can't say anything that hasn't already been said about their live show. I read today that they blew minds at last night's Polaris Prize gala at The Phoenix, and I was reading it like, uhh, yeah, what did you think? Unfortunately, they didn't win the honor for best Canadian album of the year (akin to th U.K.'s Mercury Prize), which they might have deserved. But I'm not ready to mount a protest, because the winner was Dan Snaith a.k.a. Caribou, who undoubtedly deserves it for his latest Andora, if not as recognition for his previous works under the Manitoba moniker.
